Strange Australian Slang

Instead of saying, 'up the stairs,' it's 'apples and pears.' Seriously.
Everything is shortened. Darlinghurst becomes Darlo. etc.

An American is a Yank, which apparently rhymes with Septic Tank.
Thus, Septic Tank. or Sepo.

Really.
